House Update: Our Roof is Rain Proof

For a cheap date night, Pat and I decided to take Boone and visit our house and then go get some frozen yogurt. Even though the highlight was definitely the chocolate-vanilla-coffee fro-yo with cookie dough, sprinkles, Nutella, and hot fudge, there were some exciting developments at the house.

It was Pat and Boone's first time upstairs at the house and my first trip when it wasn't pouring rain. But it wouldn't have mattered even if it was: we have shingles.

It's a real, honest to goodness roof! Even when it started to drizzle a little we stayed warm and dry. This is the first part of our house to look like it will once we move in.

Another exciting bit on the inside: our bathtubs have arrived. Not installed yet, but they are in the house, our dining room to be precise.

Double high five for House Updates!

  1. Good thing the shingles are installed. At least no matter what comes, you wouldn't have to worry much about the house. Unlike when the construction is at its early stage, where the bottom parts of the house are so open to the elements. If only there's a way to put up the roof before anything else.

  2. There's nothing else you need to worry now that your roof is installed! With it, your interior can be protected, which will make the construction much easier. Your house is not yet done, but I can already imagine how awesome it'll look like. I hope the construction flows smoothly. Good luck!

  3. That's great! It seems that you will be living in a house that has great structure. It's not yet done but you could almost live in it now that the roof is done. I hope everything will go well with the construction. I can't wait to see how this will turn out!
